The Spoon Table

The devil is in the details. This live-edge waterfall table was custom made for a dog lover. A bowtie, a structural joint used to stabilize large cracks in slabs, was necessary for this project, so we decided to dress it up. This table replaces the traditional bowtie with dog bones allowing us to maintain the structural integrity of the slab while having some fun.

We power-carved the legs using kutzall discs on an angle grinder over the course of 15 hours. At the request of the client, we carved a dip in the top surface, giving this table its iconic name.

This table has adjustable feet, inserted with steel threaded inserts, so it can sit flat on any floor.
